Wayne Grafton is a well-established member of the New Zealand Professional Fishing Guides Association and this ensures that clients receive a top quality guiding experience. He has been flyfishing from the age of eight, and a lifelong love of fishing has given Wayne over 40 years of freshwater angling expertise throughout the South Island.
Some of the very best fresh water fishing areas in New Zealand include the Mackenzie Country and the Waitaki River Valley and at the heart of the region is the small town of Omarama. This is the home and base of the fishing guide team of Wayne and his wife Jill.
Wayne has fished in the region's many natural and hydroelectric storage lakes, rivers and streams for over 30 seasons and has run a very successful guiding business for the last 5 years. He offers first class flyfishing guidance to all anglers under the wide variety of weather conditions that abound in the high mountain country.
Tuition
For the novice angler, he offers flycasting tuition. With Wayne's knowledge and well-deserved reputation of patience, he will have the learner casting a fly in a short space of time, and then taken to suitable fishing waters.
In addition, tuition and advice can be given to more advanced anglers in the different casting methods used in the area.
